About the Event
The Tall Shade of Elderwood
Part of the Forgotten Folklore series, an original series by TMGM Navin.
The town of Elderwood has gone quiet in the way that towns sometimes do, except this time, nobody came back to explain why.
No word. No warning. No sign of where anyone went.
Your party arrives to find empty streets, abandoned hearths, and the particular silence of a place that should not be this still. The investigation begins simply enough. Then the details stop making sense. Then the feeling sets in, the one that tells you something in this town is aware of you, has been watching since before you arrived, and is in no particular hurry.
The Tall Shade of Elderwood is a horror investigation one-shot built for Level 4 characters, grounded, atmospheric, and genuinely unsettling without relying on overwhelming combat. The mystery unfolds through exploration and careful attention, and the horror earns its weight.
Highlights
Atmospheric Horror: The town itself is the threat, quiet, wrong, and watching
Investigation-Driven: Uncover what happened, if you can piece it together in time
Accessible Entry Point: Open to new and experienced players alike
Horror That Earns It: Dread built through mood, not just monsters
