📚 We're back once again and we're bbbbetter than ever!

Whether you are passionate about fantasy novels, or just curious about whether you should pick up a book or not (you should), we want to hold space for you to chat about your favourite worlds or anything you are curious about literally. All you have to do is take that leap of faith–you'll have fun with the travellers you'll meet along the way. You’ll find good company, good conversation, and some very good food.

This month we're gearing up for even more fun with Xiran Jay Zhao's Iron Widow. Filled with giant transforming robots that battle mecha aliens that lurk beyond the Great Wall, this is one ride you wouldn't want to miss.

Referencing one of the greatest emperors in Chinese history, the story revolves around 18-year-old Zetian who offers herself up as a concubine-pilot to assassinate the ace male pilot responsible for her sister's death. Killing him unexpectedly through the psychic link between pilots, she emerges from the cockpit unscathed and becomes known as an Iron Widow, a much-feared and much-silenced kind of female pilot who can sacrifice boys to power up Chrysalises instead. With her new found powers, she works towards figuring out why the pilot system works in its misogynist way, and how she can stop more girls from being sacrificed.
