One thing is true. The world is dark.

This is a story about what happens when the world falls to darkness. This is a story about survivors trying to keep their light and hope alive, and find meaning in the few hours they have left. This is a story about desperation, and the lengths we go to survive.

Ten Candles is a tragic horror cooperative storytelling RPG, where you will watch our survivors be pushed to the very brink of terror, madness and sorrow. They are destined to die. It will be a show about loss, but it will also be one of hope.

Join our survivors as they face Them, entities that are as mysterious as they are elusive. Did They cause the world to fade? What do They want? No one truly knows. They only have one weakness - the light.

As the candles flicker and die during the show, you will play a part and lend a hand in our survivors' struggles. Remember, your words and truths will matter. Join us.

• Themes of Hope in Despair – Even as the end draws near, moments of human connection and resilience shine through.

• Content Notes and Trigger Warnings:

  • Themes of inevitable death – All characters perish by the story’s end.

  • Hopelessness and despair – Narrative tone centers on tragedy, futility, and loss.

  • Psychological, Body and Cosmic Horror – Descriptions of scenes may include detailed depictions of the above.

  • Emotional intensity – Characters may experience betrayal, guilt, or desperation.

  • Fire use on stage – Real candles will be part of the performance

  • Darkness and low lighting – Extended periods of dim or no lighting are intentional.

• Players: Mikail, En Sha, Tariq, Shorn – portraying survivors fighting against the inevitable in a world without light.
