Whimsy. Murder. Gadgets. Gnomes. And five heroes desperately trying not to embarrass themselves again.

Still bruised from a recent, and very public, quest failure, five under-equipped adventurers arrive at Northspark Workshop, a bustling winter-themed rock gnome invention hall where tiny engineers work year-round crafting enchanted gadgets, explosive prototypes, and questionable contraptions.

Tonight is supposed to be peaceful: the annual end-of-year feast hosted by the Workshop’s beloved, red-and-white-clad master tinkerer, Tansa Calus. But when the lights suddenly cut out during the bonfire celebration and one of the gnomes is discovered dead in the wine room…everything changes.

Smelling a chance at redemption (and maybe a gear discount), the party leaps at the opportunity to investigate. But solving this case won’t be easy.

Eight eccentric gadget-making gnomes all hold secrets. Rivalries simmer beneath the holiday cheer. And inventions, both magical and mechanical, are just as likely to malfunction as they are to help.

This is a whimsical winter mystery, filled with festive hijinks, suspicious alibis, and dice-driven chaos. Will the heroes unravel the truth, restore their reputations, and save the season? Or will Northspark Workshop descend into merry mayhem?
