In a desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland, tensions are running high. The party finds themselves in the middle of a Mexican standoff over the only precious resource they’ve found, a single bottle of clean water. Everyone is watching each other closely, each adventurer calculating the odds.

But the situation takes an unexpected turn when the unmistakable sound of heavy, mechanical footsteps breaks the silence. A figure clad in a jerry-rigged T-60 Power Armor–adorned with a faded Brotherhood of Steel (BoS) decal, approaches–carrying a comically oversized load of supplies.

Meet Scribe Galen Portno, a seasoned BoS scribe in his mid-70s, who has traveled far to bring you an offer you can’t refuse. Despite his age, the years have not dulled his sharp mind. Galen’s mission is clear— he needs your help to reach a downed Vertibird at Beriday Gulch, and he’s offering a bounty of supplies in exchange.

“Help me, and the bounty’s yours. Succeed in our mission, and there’s more where that came from, courtesy of Project Purity.”

The party faces a tough decision: continue their standoff over the water bottle or form an uneasy alliance with the elderly Scribe. But one thing is clear— in the wasteland, survival is the ultimate prize, and sometimes you need more than just clean water to make it. This Taster Event is a deep dive into the Fallout TTRPG system, where the choices you make will shape the outcome. Whether it's combat, diplomacy, or a mix of both, the story will unfold based on your actions.
