Long ago, the world ended. A cataclysm gave rise to the Creeping Ruin, a living vine that strangles and destroys all things artificial.

Civilisation has collapsed, leaving only survivors who hide in forests or surrender to the Ruin’s twisted embrace. They scrape out miserable lives in the forest that now covers the world, hiding from twisted flora and fauna.

These people are fools.

You live aboard the Hammer of the Earth: a gargantuan train, each carriage housing tens of thousands of souls. It is the last bastion of human civilization, endlessly traveling an endless network of tracks.

No one knows why the Ruin does not claim the Hammer’s rails. There are many theories. Some say the resonance of the wheels keeps the Ruin at bay. Others whisper of forgotten gods, cursed bargains, or starlit metal mined from beyond. The truth is lost.

What you know is this: the Hammer has only three days of fuel left. The Navigator has divined three desperate chances to scavenge more.

This is a story of tragedy, survival, and the cost of hope. How much will you sacrifice to keep the last machine alive?
