Campaign Mastery for Beginner & Casual DMs is a two-part workshop designed for new and casual Dungeon Masters who want to create and run their own long campaigns. Whether you’re looking to run a one-shot or a full-fledged adventure, these sessions will give you the tools and confidence to bring your world to life and guide your players through exciting, memorable journeys.

Session 1: Gearing Up and Kicking Off

In this first session, we’ll help you prepare for your campaign by building a strong foundation. We’ll go through how to establish the mood and themes of your world, create a compelling main arc, and incorporate the personal backstories of your PCs to make your campaign feel more personal and engaging. You’ll also get some essential tips on note-taking and tracking so your campaign stays organised and easy to run.

Session 2: Feeling the Epic

In this second session, we focus on how to elevate your campaign. Learn how to spotlight your players’ personal arcs and character development, making sure they feel like true heroes in your world. You’ll also discover techniques to show that the world is dynamic, that the players’ decisions have consequences, both big and small. Finally, we’ll talk about pacing your epic moments and ensuring your campaign ends on a high note, leaving players with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for what’s to come.

This workshop is perfect for new and casual DMs who want to learn how to run a long-term, player-driven campaign and make it feel like a truly epic adventure. By the end of these sessions, you’ll have all the tools you need to run a campaign that keeps your players engaged and invested for the long haul.
