GM Fundamentals: Understanding and Applying D&D Rules is a practical workshop designed to help GMs develop confidence in the rules and learn how to apply them in a way that keeps games flowing, fair, and fun.

This workshop focuses on the rules that matter most at the table: action economy, ability checks, saving throws, conditions, combat flow, spell interactions, and common edge cases that trip GMs up. We’ll explore not just what the rules say, but how to interpret and apply them consistently, when to lean into RAW, when to rule quickly, and how to make fair calls without losing momentum.

You’ll also learn how to communicate rulings clearly, handle player disagreements calmly, and use rules as tools rather than obstacles, so you can focus on storytelling, pacing, and player experience.
