Icarus the game, has an appeal to people who enjoy storytelling. More specifically it appeals to those who find the art in collaborative storytelling. This is first and foremost, a very fun game. 

It tells of the plight of your seemingly perfect city. Cracks appear as you all boast about your grandeur. In all your achievements you erect a monument, that in construction goes higher and higher as your city implodes through social strife, economic ruin, and political greed.

The story is as a group - yours to tell, but it may all lead the same way = the downfall of your city called Icarus. 

However, it does not have to. Clever politics, clear agendas and creative strategy are the names of the game. Build your monument high enough, you may just save the city from utter ruin.
