A drop-in drop-out D&D adventure, inspired by the The Seeker's Guide to Twisted Taverns.

You are wandering bartenders - the travelling makers of drinks and warmth and community - moving from town to town, setting up behind whatever counter needs you. And somehow you never quite manage to leave before something interesting happens.

Every tavern is different. Every town has its own mood, its own regulars, its own notice board full of jobs that probably involve more danger than the posting suggests. Some faces become familiar to you. Some NPCs remember you from the last time you passed through. Some grudges carry further than expected. Some quests turn out to be exactly what they said on the notice board, which is rarer than you'd think.

You Meet in a Tavern is meant to be a cosy, character-driven drop-in drop-out D&D adventure built around the warm, slice-of-life energy of a world seen from behind the bar. Imagine Coffee Talk with dragons, the found family on the road, the particular intimacy of late-night conversations over drinks, interrupted occasionally by something that absolutely needs to be fought emerging from the bathrooms.

No commitment to every session required. Show up when you can. Your character, and the regulars, will remember.

How It Works

This is a drop-in, drop-out game. Each Friday session is a self-contained story set in a new tavern, a new town and a new set of circumstances. Between sessions, the world keeps moving, notice boards get updated, NPCs remember who served them well and the road between taverns holds its own surprises.

Your character exists between sessions too. If you visit a tavern you have been to before, the regulars might recognise you.

If you left a reputation behind, good or otherwise, it will be waiting.

All players will be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group for the drop-in drop-out. This is where we coordinate:

• Session locations and new tavern openings

• Notice board quests and upcoming job postings

• Character updates and recurring NPC sightings
