Nine months past, the Canopic Being emerged at Candlekeep, veiled in ominous yellow cloth, adorned with a vigilant eye—a delivery orchestrated by High Priest Xemru Thaal. Initially greeted with scholarly curiosity by the Avowed, the tome's revelations turned ghastly, prompting its hasty relegation to the library's cryptic vaults.

Within its pages lies a sinister ritual, enabling the unholy transplant of a mummy lord's organs into the living, binding them in malevolent pact. Shockingly, the roster of recipients bears the characters' very names, casting a pall of dread upon their quest.
