CAIN is not a heroic fantasy game. It’s a dark urban fantasy RPG where trauma, sacrifice, and supernatural horror collide, and the Administrator (GM) is the one shaping that pressure.

This workshop is designed for GMs who want to confidently run CAIN by understanding its dense ruleset, mastering its unique narrative tools, and learning how to craft cinematic, emotionally heavy hunts.

In this workshop, we’ll cut through the dense rulebook to give you a clear, practical understanding of how to actually play and run CAIN.

You’ll learn how to craft dark urban fantasy stories in the vein of Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and the SCP Foundation, focusing on the specific tropes that make those worlds work. We’ll explore how to build exciting narratives centered around powerful supernatural villains and how to maintain the right atmospheric tension throughout your games.

By the end, you’ll have a solid grasp of both the rules and the storytelling techniques needed to bring these gritty, modern-day paranormal settings to life at your table.
