Stories inherently carry meaning, a foundational idea that underpins literary analysis. Hidden within a narrative’s events, characters, and scenes lie insights into society, history, the author’s convictions, and the human experience.

Sometimes these insights are presented explicitly, as seen in fables, parables, or fairy tales; at other times, they are subtly interwoven into more complex novels, plays, or screenplays, leaving room for interpretation.

In this Advanced Game Mastering Workshop, we’ll focus on how to weave themes into your TTRPG storytelling, both planned and spontaneous. You’ll learn how to convey deeper meaning to your players, enriching the world around them, and enhancing both character and world development.

Whether you’re a player or a GM, this workshop will teach you to use themes effectively, enabling you to craft stories that are emotionally resonant and intellectually engaging.
